FORC
The Friends of Returning Citizens (FORC), is a program of the Detroit Catholic Pastoral Alliance.
Our Mission is to advocate for criminal justice reform as well as to provide navigation assistance for returning citizens.
Our Vision strives towards ending unjust convictions and works within the legislative process to create just policies.
We offer a safe-space that allows individuals to focus on personal growth and immediate needs, such as clothing, housing referrals, hygiene items, employment and volunteer opportunities.

CLOTHING, TOILETRIES & HOUSEWARES.
Do you need a warm coat for winter, clothing for a job interview or just some extra basics? FORC provides a variety of new, ready-to-wear clothing items to get you started. They include shirts, t-shirts, pants, jackets, shoes, socks and underwear.
We also supply essential personal hygiene items such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and more. And, we offer basic household items such as small kitchen appliances (new and gently used) and cleaning supplies.
Monthly Bus Passes
Do you need a way to get to work, job interviews or appointments? FORC provides 31-day Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) bus passes to returning citizens in need.
The passes cover not only buses, but the Q-Line and People Mover. For those who have never used public transportation, we offer maps and how-to guidance.

RAKS is an acronym which stands for (Random Acts of Kindness) and our conceptualized reality is to provide services for those justice impacted, with a deep understanding of how these components affect the misfortunate and poverty stricken members of our society.

J.I.L.L. Program
Justice-Impacted Living & Learning — administered by RAKS (Random Acts of Kindness) Foundation
Purpose
The J.I.L.L. Program is a six-week, community-based reentry and personal growth series designed for justice-impacted women and men who are ready to stabilize, rebuild, and thrive.
Blending mental-health support, practical life-skills coaching, and an AI-enhanced digital reentry toolkit, J.I.L.L. equips participants with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to navigate life after incarceration.
